A report from the management of the National Housing Trust (NHT) shows that the entity should have more than $100 billion to carryout housing construction over the next five years.

The funds are expected to be accumulated through various strategies proposed by the management.

A Finance Ministry report on public sector bodies says the Trust will commence the construction of 7,296 houses this month while 79% or 4,179 should be completed by the end of 2008.
