How do I become an IdleTribes.com member?
Joining our community is easy. Just click on “Sign Up Now†at the top of the IdleTribes.com home page, fill in the personal/account information and submit the form. Your password will be sent to the email account given during sign up. Please use these access details to log in to the site. Create Your Account!
What is a Nomad?
A Nomad is someone who is a member of IdleTribes.com but has not joined or created a tribe.
What is a tribe?
A tribe is a community of people who share a similar interest and come together to chat and exchange ideas and content.
How do I create a tribe?
After you have joined our community, click on “Home†to go to your activity page. You will find the “Create a Tribe†link in the left margin. Once you create a tribe you will automatically be made the chief, which means you will be responsible for keeping the tribe active and interacting with your members.
How do I join a tribe?
To join a tribe, click on “Tribes†and select the tribe you wish to join by clicking “Join the Tribe†beside the tribe’s details.
What are the chief's responsibilities?
The chief is responsible for increasing the tribe’s membership, posting content relevant to the interests of the tribe and encouraging interactivity among tribe members. Also, the chief has the authority to accept/reject requests to join the tribe.
What is the Council?
The Council oversees the overall operation of IdleTribes.com.
How do I earn points?
You earn points based on your participation in various site activities, e.g. uploading images/video, posting blogs, inviting people to join the tribe, etc.
How does your IdlePoints reward system work?You earn Idlepoints for each activity in which you participate; i.e. adding photographs, videos, blogs, referrals, creating a tribe, etc. (See list of activities and reward points below). You can then redeem accumulated points for attractive merchandise, including consumer electronics, gift certificates and phone credit.
How many points do I earn for each activity?
Below are the points you earn for each activity:
- Messaging - 1 point
- Photos - 2 points
- Videos - 5 points
- Polls - 5 points
- Sending Ecards - 8 points
- Blogging - 15 points
- Posting Events - 10 points
- Tell a Friend - 2 points
- Referral Points - 10% of all points earned by referred friend
- Creating Tribes - 20 points
- Comments - 5 points

What rewards do you offer?
- Consumer Electronics like iPODs/MP3s, Digital Cameras, Webcams, Cellphones, Jump Drives, Laptops, LCD/Plasma TVs, Game Consoles.
- Gift Certificates for books, clothes, makeup, movies, spa services, and supermarkets.
- Phone Credit for Digicel and Cable & Wireless mobile phones.
Note - not all items will necessarily be available at any one time.
Are IdlePoints transferable?
No. Points earned on your account can only be redeemed by you. We will not be able to combine accounts or transfer your points to other accounts.
Do IdlePoints expire?
Yes, points expire after six (6) months.
Conditions of Use
- IdlePoints are only available to registered members of IdleTribes.com.
- IdlePoints cannot be transferred between members.
- Points are not exchangeable for cash under any circumstances.
- The Council of IdleTribes.com has the right to audit accounts before reward points are redeemed for merchandise.
- We have the right to withdraw merchandise at any time without prior notice or liability.
- We reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time without prior notice or liability.
